Help & FAQ

Answers, before you ask

The questions people ask us most, in one place. Can’t find yours? Send us a message.

The bank

Is Future Sun Bank a licensed bank?

Not yet. We are preparing to apply for a banking licence in the EU (Lithuania or Latvia). Until we are authorised, we do not accept deposits, open accounts or provide any banking services.

Where will the bank be based?

In the Baltics, as a company registered in Lithuania or Latvia and supervised by that country’s central bank, with the European Central Bank making the final licensing decision.

Who is behind Future Sun Bank?

The Future Sun group, which includes companies registered in Canada and the United States. The bank will operate through its own EU-licensed company.

When will you launch?

The date depends on the regulator’s decision. We publish every milestone on the About & licensing page instead of promising a date.

The waitlist

What does joining the waitlist mean?

We will email you about our launch: licensing milestones and your invitation to open an account. It does not open an account or commit you to anything.

Does it cost anything?

No. We will never ask for money to join the waitlist or to reserve an account.

How do I leave the waitlist?

Email info@futurebankonline.com and we will delete your details.

Accounts & cards

Who will be able to open an account?

At launch, residents of the European Economic Area. Other countries may follow, subject to our onboarding and anti-money-laundering rules.

Which currencies will I be able to hold?

EUR, USD, CAD, GBP and other major currencies, with a European IBAN in your own name.

How much will it cost?

We will publish the full price list before opening accounts. Every exchange and transfer fee will be shown before you confirm.

Will my deposits be protected?

Once licensed, eligible deposits will be covered by the national deposit guarantee scheme up to €100,000 per depositor, as EU law requires.

Business

Can you issue a letter of credit or a guarantee now?

No. We cannot issue any banking product before authorisation. Anyone offering them in our name is not acting for us.

Which companies will you serve?

At launch, companies registered in the European Economic Area. Other jurisdictions will be considered case by case.

What documents will we need?

Incorporation documents, the register of shareholders and beneficial owners, ID for directors and owners, a description of the business and, where available, recent financial statements.

Safety

Someone offered me an account in your name. What should I do?

Do not send money or share any codes. Report it to us through the contact page and, if you lost money, to your bank and the police.

How can I check a message is really from you?

Our only website is futurebankonline.com and our emails come only from @futurebankonline.com addresses.
